HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICE –Make your Own Fall Ingredient

Homemade Pumpkin Spice -It’s pumpkin season – time to fill your house with the warm aromas of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Pumpkin spice it’s even better when it’s homemade. This fragrant blend is incredibly easy to make at home.HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICE

You only need 5 minutes and 5 spices to create your own batch of Pumpkin Spice.

So what is pumpkin spice if it’s not pumpkin?

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICETo be clear, there is no actual pumpkin in pumpkin spice.

As a substitution for 1 teaspoon of allspice, you can use 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, and a pinch of ground nutmeg.

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICERich in cell-protecting antioxidants and unmistakable warmth, cinnamon is the star ingredient of pumpkin spice.

Here’s the recipe to make your own Pumpkin Spice.

You’ll need :

1/2 cup ground cinnamon,

1/3 cup ground dried ginger,

1/3 cup ground nutmeg,

1/4 cup ground allspice and

3 tbs ground cloves.

HOMEMADE PUMPKIN SPICEAdd all ingredients to an airtight glass jar, shake until combined.
